Music fills me with so much joy. Singing in a choir is so wonderful because it brings our voices and hearts together. Hearing all of the voices blend together to create such a magnificent sound is really something! Singing together is also so energizing and uplifting. I love the sense of belonging that being a part of Concino Chorus provides!

When I am not making music I love to be outside walking, biking, playing frisbee, hiking, skating, skiing and of course spending time with my two kids!

Vice President

Susan Brooke

I have wanted to sing in a choir for many years and I was very excited to join Concino Chorus, as it is such a wonderful fit for me. Singing is something that allows me to do something new and creative, which is something I am trying to get more of in my life. I am learning as I go, and choir members are so helpful and encouraging. I look forward to singing every week! When I am not singing, I can be found walking and biking in Fish Creek, camping or enjoying a new novel.

Administration Officer

Crystal Smith

My musical journey started as a child studying piano and oboe. As an adult I have continued to be involved in music: singing in choirs, teaching piano and theory lessons, providing piano accompaniment for singers and instrumentalists , playing keyboard/synthesizer in bands, and dabbling with guitar.
I love singing in choir as it brings so much joy and a sense of belonging. I firmly believe it is a situation where the “whole is greater than the sum of its parts” as individual voices blend to create something amazing.
Outside of music I enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, cross country skiing, travelling and baking.

Brett Lybbert

I started creating websites in the 1990s as a hobby. Over the years I created both personal websites and websites for various organizations. I still enjoy learning about new innovations in web development. I am happy to put my skills to use for Concino Chorus.

I started with Concino Chorus as a sound technician. I enjoy being part of the choir and helping behind the scenes where ever I can.

My love of singing began at a very young age. I was involved in many choirs in my childhood. I took voice lessons in my teens. I also had the opportunity to enjoy musical theatre in my years of dance lessons, learning song and dance routines.

As an adult I have had the opportunity to direct, sing in, and accompany choirs, as well as choreograph a few musical theatre productions in my church community. I also love to play the piano, viola and flute. When I am not spending time with music I enjoy bird watching, reading, and playing with my grandsons.

Music brings joy to my heart and I love to share it with others. Singing in a choir can be very powerful experience as we become one instrument of harmonious sound.

Carolyn Kaytor

Carolyn has sung in choirs since she was a young girl. She loves to sing whether it is in a choir, at a campfire, or singing in the home. She has played piano, handbells and a little guitar. She used to sing soprano, but has recently moved into singing alto, and loves the harmony. Carolyn loves entertaining friends and family, kayaking, trawling, her dog Roxy and cat Leo. She loves to laugh and sing.
